Good news! If you purchased a Samsung Tizen app you do not need to create an account on your own! Due to the relationship that Vimeo has built with Samsung we are able to create your application within a group account that is manged by Vimeo directly.

Is the app still white labelled if its in Vimeo's group account? 

Yes! Unlike other platforms Samsung does not show the developer name based on the account that the app is hosted in. Your app will remain entirely white labelled while it is in Vimeo's account.

What if I leave Vimeo? Will I be able to transfer my app elsewhere?

Yes! If in the future you want to transfer your app out of the Vimeo OTT group account you will just need to create a Samsung Developer account and Vimeo will initiate the transfer on your behalf. You can create a Samsung Developer account by following these steps:

  1. Register for a Samsung account here: https://developer.samsung.com/signup
  2. Opt in to receive marketing information
  3. Click Agree
  4. Enter the credentials requested, including email, name, password, date of birth, and zip code. 
     1. Note: This should be an email that you have access to because information about your account will be delivered here.
  5. Direct to the email inbox that you have just created the account with, and click the verification email.
  6. Once logged in, validate your Forum User ID.
