How to Register an LG Developer ("Seller") Account

Similar to Microsoft, registering an LG developer account will require you to share your username (email address) and password with the Vimeo OTT Branded Applications team. For this reason, we advise you having an account password that is unique to the LG platform.

Step 1: Create Your LG Seller Account

  • Please click here to be brought to the LG developer account portal. Verify you have the correct country / language set at the top right, and then select the "Sign Up" option. 

  • After selecting "Sign Up," select the "Accept all" option on the "Agree to Terms and Conditions" prompt that appears.

  • On the "Sign Up" page that appears, provide the following information:
    • ID = Email address
    • Password = Password for the developer account. As a reminder, please ensure this is a unique value as it will need to be shared with the Vimeo OTT Branded Applications team.
    • First Name = Your first name
    • Last Name = Your last name
    • Birthday = Your birthday

  • This will send an email to your inbox entitled "[LGE Account] Email Verification." Insert the code in the new field that appears and select "Next."

  • If successful, you will be brought to the below page where your account will be confirmed as registered! Click the "Go to Home" button to be brought into your LG Seller account portal.

At this point, please send your LG developer account credentials to your Vimeo OTT Implementation Manager.

Step 2: Updating Your LG Seller Account

  • After clicking the "Go to Home" button, you'll be brought into your LG Seller account portal. You will be prompted to complete your LG Seller Lounge membership. Select "OK."

  • On the "Additional Information" page, update the following fields:
    • ID = Your registered email address should be listed
    • Country = Your country of origin should be listed
    • Region = Choose the geographical region best associated to your organization
    • Seller Info. (Company Name) = Your organization name. As LG notes, this name will be displayed on the LG Content Store (i.e. LG App Store)
    • Nickname = Your display name. It can be the same value as the "Seller Info. (Company Name)"
    • Check your age = Select the "18 years old or older" box
    • Mailing Service = It is advised to select "Yes" so that you receive notifications pertaining to your LG developer account + application from the LG team
  • Then, select "Save."

  • You will be presented with a prompt referring to transferring a previous LG application into your new Seller account. As you likely do not have an LG application, you can select "Cancel."

Congratulations! Your LG Seller account registration is now complete!
