Samsung (Tizen)
Good news!
If you've purchased a Vimeo OTT Samsung Tizen application, you will not need to create a Samsung developer account for your organization. Due to the relationship that Vimeo has with Samsung, we are able to launch and maintain your application within a Samsung group account that is managed by Vimeo directly.
We understand that not owning and maintaining your own Samsung developer account may seem a bit confusing! Below are a few immediate questions you and your team may have:
Is my application still white-labeled if it's maintained within Vimeo OTT's Samsung group account?
- Yes! Your Tizen application will remain white-labeled while it is in Vimeo's group account and will not mention Vimeo OTT. Your business name will be listed as the Developer on the Tizen Store.
What if I elect to leave Vimeo OTT? What happens to my Samsung Tizen application? Are you able to transfer it to another Samsung developer account?
- If you elect to leave Vimeo OTT and have your Tizen application availability removed, you will work with your Vimeo OTT Account Manager and our Customer Operations team during the service shutdown process to complete this task.
- If you elect to leave Vimeo OTT and have your Tizen application transferred to a different Samsung developer account, Vimeo can assist in initiating the transfer with Samsung on your behalf. However, you will need to create a new Samsung developer account - or have one readily available - for Samsung's team to transfer your Tizen application to.
- Steps to register your own Samsung developer account can be found below.
